Home of the Vampire Team
The fear of deaths cold grip, and the lust for power can do strange things to the minds of the living - for they fear what they don't understand, and covet what they do not have. Some 2000 years ago in what is now the land of the dead, such a man, Nagash, was born, and to earn both eternal life and power he distilled a magical brew from the blood of his fellow men. Though Nagash actions reeked of evil there where those willing to serve him, trading their soul for a sip of the damned drink. But the accursed potion changed the imbibers, and as decades turned to centuries, they came to shun the light of day, and only the blood drink could give them the sustenance they required. When Nagash was first vanquished by the priest kings his followers scattered to the four winds, and each in turn they came to realise that their power had come at a terrible price. Without Nagash potion, they had to drink the blood while it was still running warm, and without Nagash magical preparation, the quantums needed were larger than before. This is the curse of the vampires.
Eternal unlife leaves the vampires with an awful lot of spare time, and some of the unrulier ones have taken up blood bowl. On the pitch, the vile vampires rely on their super-human strength and agility - and their transfixing glare, which bewitches their mortal opponents. Arragonce, as well as sheer hatred for the creatures on which they dine, makes the vampires come forth to suck the life out of their opponents, while the unsuspecting spectators cheer on, unaware of their own impending doom.
